Cheetah Report 21st December

Phew, it’s getting hotter and hotter, and busier and busier here at Inverdoorn! In this last week before Christmas week everyone has been going a bit crazy, but even with all the extra work that we have all had to do with the extra numbers, the whole team has been coping very well, and just getting down and dirty, and focused on making our guests stay here a really awesome experience. The cubs have been getting more and more...

Cheetah Report 14th December

Lotta’s 3 beautiful cubs are growing by the day. They are eating meat everyday now and like to fight about it, even with mum. We think that it is 2 boys and 1 girl and the comparison to their older Brothers and sister is crazy. They look so much alike and I can’t wait to see if it will stay that way as they grow up. Lula, Clyde and Benji have really been enjoying the coolness of the Dam this week. It is getting hotter and hotter...

Cheetah Report 8th December

Hi everyone! It`s been a while since I wrote a report and a lot has happened. Can you believe that it has been two months?Did you know that the 4th of December is international cheetah day? I find it amazing that there is a day dedicated towards these spotted beauties. I have also learnt that cheetahs dig up dirt when it is very hot to get to the cooler sand underneath. Smart aren’t they? The cubs (Lula, Clyde, Benji) are also...

Cheetah Report - 10th/16th November

This week at Inverdoorn has been pretty busy and exciting. For me, it was my first time doing a cheetah interaction on my own and my first time doing it at the airstrip, it was quite nerve wrecking. It went smoothly apart from it being windy. Cheetahs struggle to hear in the wind, so they tend to get a bit unsettled and stand up and walk around a lot to make sure no predator is sneaking up on them. This can make cheetah interaction...

Cheetah Report - November

This week has been full of beautiful sunsets and wonderful moments with the cubs.I can’t believe time has flown by so fast and Benji, Lula and Clyde are already so big. They turned 5 months this week. They now go to the dam on a daily basis and are loving the space and the water. It’s actually amazing to see them going into the water so relaxed and Benji even went for a swim this week. Even though he had a little bit of help by...
