South Africa is one of the safest safari destinations in Africa. With ease of access to modern medical facilities, you can rest assured in the knowledge that professional medical assistance is on hand 24 hours a day.
Tap water is safe to drink in cities, but you may be more comfortable drinking bottled water in the rural areas. At Inverdoorn the tap water is safe to drink, but both options are available to you.
You should bring along sufficient water from the lodge on safari as there are no water points on the game reserve. Protection from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat and sun block is also recommended. The curio shop does stock both if you have forgotten to bring yours along.
If you want to avoid the possibility of contracting malaria, then you should choose Inverdoorn Game Reserve and Iziba Safari Lodge.
