Iziba Safari Lodge prides itself on providing simple, flavourful food skillfully prepared with the utmost care. Only the freshest and plumpest seasonal produce and the choicest cuts of meat from local farms will make it to your table. Inspired by uncomplicated South African cooking, the lodge will regularly serve up French favourites too.
Invigorated by the early morning game drive, you are guaranteed to return with a good appetite. The morning meal is a wholesome affair with an assortment of options available. A traditional English breakfast is a staple, but is accompanied by an array of continental offerings such as yoghurts, pastries, cold cuts and cheeses.
Lunch is a three course meal, served buffet style. A traditional South Africa bobotie shares pride of place with French favourites such as Quiche Lorraine. Fresh salads and a decadent selection of desserts are also firm favourites.
Dinner is an elegant five-course meal deliciously prepared and served. The late afternoon safari returns to the lodge giving you enough time to wash away the dust of the reserve, before mingling with guests and rangers at the boma for pre-dinner drinks.
