Meet the Team

Dedication and professionalism

Inverdoorn Game Reserve and Iziba Safari Lodge is staffed by some of the most dedicated and talented professionals. Their passion for wildlife conservation and the safari lodge is evident in everything they do, and you are guaranteed personalised service and attention.

The staff at the lodge comes from all over the world, as well as the surrounding area. From the kitchen staff and office managers to the animal handlers, game rangers and field guides you are sure to meet various interesting individuals, ready to greet you with a warm smile.

Our team extends all the way to the Atlantic Seaboard, where the Cape Town office is based. Situated in Regent Road, a short walk away from the Atlantic Ocean, you will find the reservations' and marketing team.

The Western Cape Cheetah Conservation, the reserve's rescue and rehabilitation centre for cheetahs, runs a volunteer programme which brings many fresh, young faces to Inverdoorn throughout the year. You are also likely to meet students from across the globe who are completing an internship at the reserve and eager to share their knowledge and experience with guests.

Read more about our dedicated team, volunteers and interns before booking a safari at Inverdoorn to meet them, or pop in to our Cape Town office to say hello.

1 200 Reasons

More than 1 200 animals roam free over the vast plains of the Ceres Karoo at Inverdoorn Game Reserve. Comprised of 28 different species guests will encounter various animals – from hippo, giraffe and impala to springbok, wildebeest and bat-eared foxes. In addition, more than 80 species of birds soar through the skies.

The Cheetah and the Big 5

The cheetah has a special place in the hearts of all those who work at the game reserve. These magnificent big cats can be seen on safari; being taken through routine runs reaching speeds of up to 120km/h and encountered in exclusive interactions. Safaris at Inverdoorn become an even greater adventure as game rangers help guest search for the famous Big 5, namely: the rhino, elephant, lion, African buffalo and the illusive Cape Leopard.
